Today, 4/1/11, Madcatz announced a gaming peripheral that is perhaps the first true gamer modification, genetic modification that is. The MadThumbz add-on is literally an extra thumb that is grafted to your hand. The company has partnered with Icelandic bio research firm Oopeltech to develop the final version of the product. Madcatz claims the product will allow players to push buttons in a way they never have before “at the same time.”
Tony Ganglioni, a spokesperson for the project and representative of booth firms, said in a press release, “We are very excited about this product. It is intended for the most hardcore of gamers. Especially those who understand how important it is to be able to reach every button on the controller, even the back button.”
MadThubz will come in the standard edition (MSRP$250.00) and a pro edition ($300.00) that comes with an MLG band-aid to cover the sutures while they heal. “We are going to do an extensive beta, volunteers needed, and because we need both console maker and FDA approval for this product we could see some delays in release. But, It will all be worth it” says Ganglioni. Tumbz up MadCatz!
Happy April 1st!

I’m all over this. Need all the help I can get
