Since this is our first installment of “From the Barracks”, an overview of what is going on over at PCP from the Overlords, we will play catch up on some past announcements and provide an update of what is going on with the Pork Chop Platoon Clan. So here we go…
2011 has been a busy year thus far for the Pig Army and it’s members and we feel that it is going to be our best yet! We have hosted several Call of Duty Black Ops mixers with some great gaming communities this year including the PMS Clan, Pre Game Lobby, and Denying Our Age as well as a few more that are still in the scheduling phase including Will Clan 4 Food and Tied the Leader.
The Exile Gaming League has approached us about a Black Ops Domination tournament they will be running with teams from several different clans. These guys run a very organized league with a focus on fun so we look forward to competing.
We celebrated our third year as a clan in November and will be getting ready to celebrate our first year on our new site on May 5th. Leaving a large and successful gaming community in order to venture out on our own was a risk, but has proven to be successful as we have already surpassed 260 members and over 50k forum posts!!!!!
The main page here looks amazing thanks to the hard work of my good friends Powermacattack (OL) and SonicMonxide (JCS). A special thanks goes out to our members for their contributions and spot on reviews of games and hardware.
Some notable additions to the PCP Staff and Teams:
McSnafu has been promoted to the staff and is now our Admin Officer and Scheduling Coordinator for all clan events. He was also instrumental in the planning of our 2011 LAN in Cincy with Chas (soon to be Mrs Snaf) and Old Velcro which looks to be our biggest event to date!
Speaking of Old Velcro, he and Caddyman now oversee our Ambassador Team and I suspect if you are reading this one of them or one of our Ambassadors have already contacted your community about doing a mixer with us. : )
Gagnon 30 has been added to the Website-Technical team and will be instrumental in making our forums look as good as this site!
Lt Dan will take the lead as our technical adviser for the website.
Fatal has been added to our Communications Team and will be putting out a newsletter which will give those members that don’t always make it to the forums a heads up on clan activities, LAN party updates, tournaments, and other good stuff. Keep an eye on your inbox!
Look for updates each week because there is always something going on at the premier Xbox 360 gaming clan for the older gamer!
